## Payload Encryption Configuration {#payload-encryption-configuration}

To configure JWE encryption for the User Account Management endpoints marked **JWE** on the [Testing](https://developer.mastercard.com/user-account-management-service/documentation/testing/index.md#endpoints-under-test) page:

1. Download your client encryption certificate and Mastercard encryption key from your project on the [Developer Dashboard](https://developer.mastercard.com/dashboard).
2. Configure the Mastercard [client encryption library](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/documentation/security-and-authentication/securing-sensitive-data-using-payload-encryption/#client-libraries) to encrypt the full request body (`$`) and decrypt the response.
3. Follow the [Integration and Testing](https://developer.mastercard.com/user-account-management-service/documentation/tutorials-and-guides/api-testing-tutorial/index.md) tutorial for a complete Java configuration example.

## Next Steps {#next-steps}

Send an encrypted request, such as `POST /users`, by following the scenarios on the [Testing](https://developer.mastercard.com/user-account-management-service/documentation/testing/index.md) page.
