### Payment notification scenarios {#payment-notification-scenarios}

Once a plan is activated, payment are made automatically, using the payment method selected by the user. We recommend that the user receive notifications regarding the following scenarios:

**Scenario 1: Payment due**

Notify the users at least 3 days before the payment due date

**Scenario 2: Payment received**

Notify the user when a payment is received successfully

<br />

**Scenario 3: Payment failed**

Notify the user when auto payments fail. Include reasons when available. Suggest using an alternate method of payment and give instructions on how to make that change.
