# Create a Production Project

This guide walks through the steps required to create the Transaction Insights API project and how to gain access to the production environment.

## Create a project {#create-a-project}

Note: You should have successfully created a [sandbox project](https://developer.mastercard.com/transaction-insights/documentation/tutorials-and-guides/sandbox-access-tutorial/index.md).

## Add your profile details {#add-your-profile-details}

2. Click **Proceed**.

## Add the project credentials {#add-the-project-credentials}

You are required to capture the Keystore password and key alias. The Keystore password is used in conjunction with the .p12 file and client ID for OAuth authentication.

1. Enter the **Key alias** and **Keystore password** . The keystore password is used in conjunction with the .p12 file and client ID for OAuth authentication. 2. Click **Proceed**.

## Updating your project {#updating-your-project}

1. Your production project has been successfully created. Click the **Download key file** button and save the key file in a safe place since this would be your only chance to download this file. ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/transaction-insights/uploads/updating_your_production_project1.png)
2. Click **Open Project** to proceed.

After confirmation, you will receive an email confirming the provisioning request and keys.

## Project summary {#project-summary}

* Your production project has been successfully created.

* You can navigate to **Production credentials** to view the production project credentials details.
