## Overview {#overview}

This tutorial guides you to:

* create a new project
* generate the credentials required for testing in the Sandbox and MTF environments.

## Creating a new API project {#creating-a-new-api-project}

1. To create a project, in the top-right corner of the screen, click **Create New Project**.
2. Enter a relevant **Project name**.
3. Select **Yes** if you are creating the project on behalf of a customer. For example, you could be an integrator, a processor, or a service provider and the customer could be a merchant, issuer, or acquirer.
   1. Provide the **Client company name**.

## Select API service {#select-api-service}

1. From the dropdown list, select **Token Requestor Identifier MTF API**.
2. Select the **commercial countries** and click **Proceed** . Note: If you are creating a project on-behalf of a client, the Commercial countries represent where your client is doing business.

## Generating Sandbox Credentials {#generating-sandbox-credentials}

1. Enter the **Key alias** and **keystore password** and click **Create Project**.
2. Download your Sandbox credentials.
3. Click **Open project** . ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/token-requestor-identifier-api/uploads/creating_your_project.png) Warning: Mastercard Token Requestor Identifier Sandbox and Production Keys will expire after 30 days. You will have to generate a new set of keys after they expire.

## Ready to Test in Sandbox {#ready-to-test-in-sandbox}

You now have everything you need to start sending Token Requestor Identifier API requests to the Sandbox!
