# Onboarding Checklist
source: https://developer.mastercard.com/small-business-credit-analytics/documentation/tutorials-and-guides/onboarding-checklist/index.md

This guide outlines the end-to-end process, expected timeframes, and requirements for moving your Small Business Credit Analytics integration from the Sandbox environment to Production.

The end-to-end process from Sandbox to Production follows this sequence:

1. **Sandbox Testing Complete:** Validate that your integration works correctly in the Sandbox environment.
2. **Gather Required Information:** Collect your company's legal business name and address, and decide on a Production key alias and keystore password.
3. **Submit Production Request:** Request Production access from your project dashboard and generate your Production `.p12` key. See [Step 2](https://developer.mastercard.com/small-business-credit-analytics/documentation/tutorials-and-guides/onboarding-checklist/index.md#step-2-request-production-access) below.
4. **Review \& Approval:** Mastercard's API Support team reviews your request and verifies your submitted information.
5. **Production Credentials Issued:** After Mastercard approves Production access, you will receive a confirmation email.
6. **Go Live:** Update your integration to use the Production base URL: `https://api.mastercard.com/small-business/credit-analytics/locations`

## Prerequisite {#prerequisite}

* Completed integration and testing in the Sandbox environment: a successful `GET /matches` call returning a non-empty `locationId`, and a successful `GET /metrics/{location_id}` call returning a populated `metricsLists` array, with no `401 DECLINED` errors on either call. See [Testing](https://developer.mastercard.com/small-business-credit-analytics/documentation/testing/index.md) for the full set of Sandbox test cases covering both endpoints.
* A Mastercard Developers project with Sandbox credentials already generated --- see [Quick Start Guide](https://developer.mastercard.com/small-business-credit-analytics/documentation/quick-start-guide/index.md).

## Step 1: Gather Required Information {#step-1-gather-required-information}

Production access requests ask for company and key information up front, so gather it before you start to avoid interrupting the request partway through.

* Your company's legal business name and address.
* A key alias name that clearly identifies the Production environment, to distinguish it from your Sandbox key.
* A keystore password for the Production `.p12` file. Store this in a secure location --- you will need it to use the downloaded key.

## Step 2: Request Production Access {#step-2-request-production-access}

After you have the information from Step 1 ready, initiate the Production access request:

1. Navigate to your project under **My Projects** and open the Project APIs section, then click **Request Production Access** . ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/small-business-credit-analytics/uploads/tutorials/moving_to_production/request_production_access.png)
2. Fill in your profile details --- name, company information, and legal business address --- using the information gathered in Step 1, then proceed. ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/small-business-credit-analytics/uploads/tutorials/moving_to_production/complete_your_profile.png)
3. Enter your key alias and keystore password when prompted, and proceed again to generate your Production private key. ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/small-business-credit-analytics/uploads/tutorials/moving_to_production/create_production_key.png)
4. Click **Download key file** to download a zip file containing the `.p12` file required for OAuth authentication in Production. Save this file in a safe place --- you will not be able to download it again later. ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/small-business-credit-analytics/uploads/tutorials/moving_to_production/confirm_and_download_keys.png)
5. Submit the request. The Mastercard API Support team receives it and begins the review process.

## Expected Timeframes {#expected-timeframes}

| Stage                    | Expected Timeframe                                                    |
|:-------------------------|:----------------------------------------------------------------------|
| Sandbox Environment | Instant, upon project creation |
| Production Access Review | Within 3--5 working days of submitting your Production access request |

Note: Timeframes may vary depending on the completeness of your submitted information. If you have not received a response within 5 working days, see [Escalation Paths](https://developer.mastercard.com/small-business-credit-analytics/documentation/tutorials-and-guides/onboarding-checklist/index.md#escalation-paths) below.

## Step 3: Go Live {#step-3-go-live}

Once Mastercard approves your request, you will receive a confirmation email to your registered address. Update your application to:

* Use the Production base URL `https://api.mastercard.com/small-business/credit-analytics/locations` instead of the Sandbox URL.
* Sign requests with your Production consumer key and signing key instead of the Sandbox ones.

OAuth 1.0a authentication works the same way in Sandbox and Production --- only the key set, approval state, and base URL change.

Before directing real traffic to the integration, confirm:

* Authenticating against the Production base URL does not return a `401 DECLINED` error.
* `GET /matches` and `GET /metrics/{location_id}` return `200 OK` responses with valid data.
* Error responses match the standard `Errors.Error[]` structure --- see [Code and Formats](https://developer.mastercard.com/small-business-credit-analytics/documentation/code-and-formats/index.md).

## Escalation Paths {#escalation-paths}

If your Production access request is delayed or you need assistance at any stage:

* **General API Support:** write to [Mastercard support](mailto:advisors.help@mastercard.com?subject=SBCA:%20Production%20Access%20Escalation) with the subject line "SBCA: Production Access Escalation --- \[Your Project Name\]" and include your project's Sandbox Client ID.
* **Your Mastercard Representative:** if you have an assigned representative, contact them directly for priority escalation.
