## Overview {#overview}

RiskRecon's risk policy and assessment tuning settings allow you to risk-prioritize your issues to enable you to decide which issues need immediate attention. You can set up [alerting](https://developer.mastercard.com/riskrecon-api/documentation/glossary/index.md#alerts) policies to stay notified about new issues observed or about changes in overall and security domain ratings.

RiskRecon produces [action plans](https://developer.mastercard.com/riskrecon-api/documentation/glossary/index.md#action-plan) for the issues you want your vendors to address immediately. These action plans are customized as per your risk policy. You can share these action plans with your vendors via email or ask them to collaborate online with you. RiskRecon also allows you to track a vendor's progress in addressing the action plan issues.

Besides the above, RiskRecon [TOE PDF reports](https://developer.mastercard.com/riskrecon-api/documentation/glossary/index.md#toe-pdf-reports) provide knowledge on the cyber-security posture of your organization and that of your vendors and third-parties. These reports help you to serve various purpose such as, maintaining record of findings for a vendor or allowing your customers to use these reports in integrations or automated processes.
