### How it works {#how-it-works}

A customer onboards to Loyalty Points Activity Service. When a consumer signs in to the customer-hosted experience, that experience calls the service with the consumer's account or customer identifier. Points Activity Service returns the consumer's point activity, and the consumer sees results such as the current point balance, points earned and redeemed, and points that have expired.
