## FAQs {#faqs}

The Priceless Specials API provides a 'read-only' API for Issuers and Partners to pull and display public offer content, to present inside their applications and websites. Priceless Specials offers are sourced from all over the world, spanning across categories, such as travel, culinary, shopping, sports, entertainment, arts, and culture. For a preview of the offers, kindly refer to: <https://specials.priceless.com>. Content is always up to date, and the customer journey can be handed off to the merchant's website or location at any stage for offer fulfillment. The Priceless Specials API is restricted to Issuers who have a valid production API key. A request may be submitted to Mastercard to access the API. Authorized Issuers to the API will have full access to all Mastercard offers that are eligible for their cardholders. The Priceless Specials API provides access to our database of offers, serving cardholder-facing content that is ready to be integrated with any Issuer's digital channel. When an API request is submitted, a response with a relevant list of offers will be generated and returned. The data provided by the Priceless Specials API includes the latitude and longitude for all merchants except for online merchants or merchants with multiple outlets. Aside from the offer's name, merchant's name and location, a detailed description, including the redemption mechanic, promotion code, and any other applicable call-to-actions will be provided. Sandbox registration and self-service testing for this service may be performed through Mastercard Developers. Production access may be requested through Mastercard Developers, only after Sandbox testing is complete and the required use cases have been approved by Mastercard. It is recommended to have the access to Priceless Specials API requested as early as possible in your project's lifecycle, as it will be best to resolve all connectivity and environment issues upfront to facilitate testing. This will avoid delays in your project's timeline due to such issues. The offers listed within the Priceless Specials API are eligible for Mastercard cardholders in the Asia-Pacific region. However, there may be offers that feature destinations all over the world. The list of languages supported on Priceless Specials may be retrieved by querying the `/languages` endpoint. For more details, refer [here](https://developer.mastercard.com/priceless-specials/documentation/api-reference/index.md#swagger-ui/). The default regional language code for Priceless Specials is en-SG and will appear as such when the language or region is not supported by Priceless Specials. The list of languages supported on Priceless Specials may be retrieved by querying the `/languages` endpoint. For more details, refer [here](https://developer.mastercard.com/priceless-specials/documentation/api-reference/index.md#swagger-ui/) As there are many Issuers with varying cardholder reach and requirements, there is no official rate-limiting for the Priceless Specials API, however, to provide fair use of the system to all other Mastercard Issuers, a maximum of 60 requests per minute from a single IP address is strongly recommended. To prevent abuse, requests beyond this amount may be throttled and result in a slower experience for your users. A request may be made through Mastercard to increase this soft limit on a case-by-case basis. The average response time for a request to the Priceless Specials API takes less than 1 second. Responses with larger payloads will take a slightly longer time to complete transmission but should not exceed 3 seconds. Throttled requests because of exceeding the recommended rate limit of 60 requests per minute may result in slower responses. If you do not have a Mastercard representative, send a request to [apac.pricelessspecials@mastercard.com](mailto:apac.pricelessspecials@mastercard.com) for further help.
