The Points Activity Service API is a small section of the broader Loyalty Management API. This API specifically enables the ability to view points details. There are two key moments in the product journey for the consumer:

* [Viewing History](https://developer.mastercard.com/points-activity-service/documentation/experience-design-guide/momentsthatmatter/index.md#viewing-history)

## Discovery {#discovery}

### Make your rewards summaries easy to find {#make-your-rewards-summaries-easy-to-find}

The rewards platform on your bank website should be easy to find for cardholders and the number of points saved should be easy to spot as well. This is a critical number for any rewards program and so should be situated in a prominent spot. The number of points a user has accumulated is one of the most common items users are concerned about when checking their rewards account.

## Viewing History {#viewing-history}

### Have a clear history of rewards earn and spend {#have-a-clear-history-of-rewards-earn-and-spend}

Many rewards power-users review their points earning and spending history, often to ensure accuracy. Make the history viewing an easy experience to satisfy both power-users and casual-users. While this API provides the summary view of points earnings, a separate API is needed to get transaction-level details of points earnings.
