### 1. Places version 1 deprecated {#1-places-version-1-deprecated}

Version 1 of the Places specification has been deprecated. If you have already integrated with version 1, please make every effort to switch to the latest Places API specification [here](https://developer.mastercard.com/places/documentation/api-reference/index.md).

### 2. Enhances Places API: New Fields \& Filters Added {#2-enhances-places-api-new-fields--filters-added}

The Places API just got more powerful! We've added new fields like the Apple Pay Flag, E-Commerce Flag, Payment Facilitators Count, and more. Additionally, you can now filter your searches using these new fields, making it easier than ever to get detailed data and refine your searches with ease.
