# Postman Collection
source: https://developer.mastercard.com/payment-currency-conversion/documentation/postman-collection/index.md

## Overview {#overview}

Postman is an application for easy RESTful API exploration. The Mastercard Move Postman workspace allows you to quickly test and explore Mastercard Move API collections without writing any code. You can test API calls and check responses in the sandbox environment.

The steps below explain how to use [Postman](https://www.postman.com/mastercard/mastercard-move/overview) collections hosted in the Mastercard Move workspace, which includes a collection for this API service.

## Prerequisites {#prerequisites}

* Sign up for a new account or log in to your existing Postman account.
* For accessing this API, create a Mastercard Developers [project](https://developer.mastercard.com/dashboard) with the **Currency Conversion for Originating Institution** API service. This generates the Sandbox signing key (.p12 file) and credentials you will use to access the Sandbox environment. For guidance on creating a project, see [Getting Started with the APIs](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/implementation/getting-started/).

## Step-by-Step Guide {#step-by-step-guide}

### 1. Set Up the Postman Collection {#1-set-up-the-postman-collection}

You can add the Mastercard Move API collections to your workspace in [two ways](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/tutorial/use-postman-for-mastercard-apis/step-1/).

### 2. Configure the Postman Environment {#2-configure-the-postman-environment}

[Set up environment variables](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/tutorial/use-postman-for-mastercard-apis/step-2/) such as API keys, base URLs, and other credentials.

### 3. Set the Base URL {#3-set-the-base-url}

In your environment settings, [define the baseUrl variable](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/tutorial/use-postman-for-mastercard-apis/step-3/).

### 4. Enable Authentication {#4-enable-authentication}

Mastercard Send APIs use OAuth 1.0a for authentication. See detailed steps [here](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/tutorial/use-postman-for-mastercard-apis/step-4/) to configure it.

### 5. Invoke a Mastercard Move API {#5-invoke-a-mastercard-move-api}

Once everything is configured, click **Send** in Postman to make your first API call and view the response.
