### Provide cardholders answers to their questions {#provide-cardholders-answers-to-their-questions}

**What is Pay with Rewards?**   

Pay with Rewards is a redemption solution that allows Mastercard cardholders to use their reward points to reimburse purchases at millions of participating locations worldwide, both online and in-store, offering a flexible and convenient way to redeem rewards.

**How does Pay with Rewards work?**   

The cardholder makes a purchase with a registered card; Pay with Rewards validates the transaction's eligibility for point redemption and points are redeemed. Pay with Rewards can be turned on for all purchases, or for the very next purchase only. If points are redeemed for a purchase, a "rebate" is issued in real time. Alternatively, cardholders can view a list of recent transactions and select purchases to cover with their rewards points for a statement credit.

**What are the benefits of Pay with Rewards?**   

**Flexibility:** Cardholders can use their points for whatever they want, whenever they want and wherever Mastercard is accepted.  

**Convenience:** Redemption is instant and seamless, allowing cardholders to spend their points like cash on "next purchase" or "all purchases."   

**Ease:** Sign up is easy and there is no disruption to the normal payment flow. Once a cardholder is enrolled, they can use their Pay with Rewards enabled card for purchases right away.

**How are points redeemed?**   

Cardholders have the freedom to redeem points like cash, at the moment of purchase, for instant and seamless rewards redemption. Or, points can be redeemed for a statement credit on qualifying prior purchases.

**Is partial redemption possible?**   

Yes, partial redemptions are possible depending on the reward program rules set by the issuer. A cardholder's points balance will be redeemed for its current value.
