# Post-Purchase Redemption

### A cardholder can redeem rewards post-purchase {#a-cardholder-can-redeem-rewards-post-purchase}

Pay with Rewards offers cardholders two ways to redeem:

* Pre-purchase when they turn it on in advance
* Post-purchase when they select a prior purchase for a statement credit  

For post-purchase, cardholders navigate to their purchase activity within their existing loyalty program website or mobile app and locate the "Activity" tab to find past purchases.

Next, the cardholder chooses the purchase they want to redeem points against for a statement credit. Before redeeming points, they review their redemption details and determine the redemption amount. Some banks allow partial redemptions. A partial redemption is when the cardholder chooses to receive a statement credit for a portion of a purchase but not the total transaction amount and is only feasible if the bank allows partial redemptions.
