# Account Validation Assistant

Account Validation Assistant (AVA) provides bank account validation by allowing partners to verify their customers' bank account details using micro-deposits before initiating payments. AVA is supplementary to Account ACH Details and provides customers who are unable to permission access to their bank accounts a solution to verify their payment information.

Although Mastercard Open Finance can verify account details for the overwhelming majority of Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA), there are scenarios where an alternative method of validation is needed to achieve full account coverage. Examples include:

* The Financial Institution (FI) does not provide Account (AN) and Routing (RTN) numbers through current integrations.
* The FI is new to Mastercard Open Finance.

## Account Validation Assistant - Data Connect Lite {#account-validation-assistant---data-connect-lite}

AVA integration with Data Connect Lite is not currently available.
