# Client Hub Use Cases

Learn how you can use the Client Hub to monitor health of financial institutions and perform billing reconciliation.

## Monitor Institution Status {#monitor-institution-status}

Let's say a customer reports they are unable to connect to Navy Federal Credit Union. To evaluate the status of the financial institution's connection, access the Client Hub and click **Activity \> Institution status**.

Enter **Navy** into the search bar and select a timeframe of **7 days**. The search locates Navy Federal Credit Union showing it is offline.

The financial institution is working to determine the cause of the connection failure. Customers can check back within 2-3 days to try their connection again. Partners can also continue to monitor the institution's status and notify the customer when it is back online.

## Billing Reconciliation using Invoice History {#billing-reconciliation-using-invoice-history}

Let's say a financial manager wants to cross-check the list of reports recorded on the Client Hub for a customer with the corresponding invoices across various locations or branches to verify the charges incurred for a customer are accurate.

You can create an Open Finance project and invite the financial manager and any other team members to view the project. The financial manager can then access the project and click the **Access Client Hub** to view the Invoice History records in Client Hub.

Following are step-by-step instructions for an administrator on how to provide access to the Client Hub to a financial manager or a required team member:

1. Log in to [Mastercard Developers](https://developer.mastercard.com/account/log-in).

2. Click on your Open Finance **Project**.

   a. In the navigation menu on the left, click **Team**.

   b. Click **Invite a Team Member**.

   b. Click **Invite**.

5. The recipient (financial manager) will receive an email letting them know they have access to the project to view the Client Hub.

The financial manager can then [sign up](https://developer.mastercard.com/account/sign-up) for a new account or log into [Mastercard Developers](https://developer.mastercard.com/account/log-in) and click on the project they have been given access to. They can then access the Client Hub by selecting the appropriate project credentials, finding the overflow menu (the three dots on the right hand side) and then clicking **Access Client Hub** . See the [Accessing the Client Hub](https://developer.mastercard.com/open-finance-us/documentation/client-hub-guide/accessing-client-hub/index.md) page for details.

The financial manager can then go to **Invoice History** and download the information in a CSV file and manually sort the number of reports run per customer ID. The CSV file downloads the data columns in the order they are displayed in Invoice History. The financial manager can then use this data to reconcile the charges to the appropriate user or loan or cost center.
