| **AIS**              | Account Information Service, the provision of account information service carries out by an Account Information Service Provider (AIPSP), which is authorized and regulated by the FCA.                                                                                                                                                               |
| **AISP**             | Account Information Service Provider (AISP): an organisation which is authorized to retrieve account data provided by banks and financial institutions.                                                                                                                                                                                               |
| **API**              | Application Programming Interface, a way for applications to communicate with each other.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             |
| **APP**              | Authorised Push Payment, usually used to refer to APP scams.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          |
| **ASPSP**            | Account Servicing Payment Service Provider (ASPSP) is any financial institution that offers a payment account with online access. This includes banks and building societies.                                                                                                                                                                         |
| **BBAN**             | BBAN is short for Basic Bank Account Number. It represents a country-specific bank account number. The BBAN is the last part of the IBAN, which is used for international funds transfers. Every country has its specific BBAN format and length depending on its own standards.                                                                      |
| **Beta**             | This feature/endpoint is a newly released production version of the API, which is not yet fully tested and supported. While in beta, we cannot guarantee availability and performance, and structural/syntactical changes may happen without notice. Customers should use this endpoint only if they can tolerate unexpected changes and failures.    |

| **Current**          | This feature/endpoint is the current supported up-to-date version of the API. Customers should integrate to this endpoint.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| **Deprecated**       | This feature/endpoint remains live in production, but only to serve existing customers who have not yet migrated to the "current" version, which is recommended.                                                                                                                                                                                      |
| **IBAN**             | The International Bank Account Number is a unique identifier that helps banks process payments from person to person automatically. The IBAN contains all the necessary information of the owner such as the account number, bank and branch information and country code.                                                                            |
| **KYC**              | Know Your Customer, i.e., the processes carried out by firms to ensure an organisation or individual is appropriately identified.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     |

| **Provider**         | A provider is the institution that delivers data or executes the payment. This could be a bank or another financial institution.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      |
| **Preview**          | This feature/endpoint is still in development or testing, and is not yet widely available for customer use. Customers should use this endpoint only if they have been advised to participate in preview feature testing.                                                                                                                              |

| **Supervised login** | A supervised login is performed by the end-user. | **TPP**              | Third Party Providers are organisations or natural persons that use APIs developed to Standards to access customer's accounts, in order to provide account information services and/or to initiate payments. Third Party Providers are either/both Payment Initiation Service Providers (PISPs) and/or Account Information Service Providers (AISPs). |
| **Unattended login** | An unattended login is performed without end-user interaction, e.g. to do an update of data in the background when the end-user opens the application.                                                                                                                                                                                                |
