| **Common Causes** | * During add account process via Data Connect this means that the end user has entered the wrong credentials. * If the customer continues to enter an incorrect password, it is advisable for them to log in directly to their financial institution's website to confirm and/or update their username and password. * On an already added account via Data Connect, this error means that the credentials have changed and need to be updated. |
| **Troubleshooting Steps** | Prompt the end user to reset their credentials via Data Connect Fix. Consumer credentials can be updated by presenting the Data Connect Fix flow to the consumer for the accounts for the `institutionLoginId` set. |
| **Data Connect Fix Eligible** | If [Data Connect Fix](https://developer.mastercard.com/open-finance-au/documentation/connect/generate-2-connect-url-apis/index.md) is already integrated, use the Data Connect Fix flow to allow your end users to reset their credentials.
