The following is a list of API status codes that can be returned from the API.

API status codes could have various HTTP responses and the status code will typically show up in the body of the response (more details below for most cases).

This list is not a complete list of all codes, just the most common ones you are most likely to encounter. Error responses will also have details in the body of the response as to why it is occurring.

## Common API Status Codes {#common-api-status-codes}

| 103         | During the add account process this occurs when the customer has entered the wrong credentials. | 108         | During add account process this occurs when there is a prompt from the Financial Institution that the customer must solve before they attempt to add accounts again. For a previously added account the cause is the same, that there is a prompt that the customer must solve but this happened after the account was initially added. A common example would be that the customer has to accept new terms, or has been invited to participate in a program like e-statements. | User action is required at your Financial Institution. Log into your Financial Institution and check if you have any actions that need to be taken. Error code 108                                                                                                                                  | Have the customer login to the account and resolve the pop-up banner, typically by accepting new Terms and Conditions or acknowledging other account alerts.                                                                                                                                                            |
| 109         | This typically occurs when the customer institution is requiring that the customer change their security information like password or security questions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       | Your Financial Institution is requiring new security info. | 920 to 929  | There could be multiple reasons that an institution does not support aggregation. We recommend the customer reach out to their Financial Institution and tell them to contact Mastercard by emailing APISupport [APISupport@mastercard.com](mailto:APISupport@mastercard.com) in order to resolve the issue and become a supported institution.                                                                                                                                 | Your Financial Institution is currently not supported.
