# Installing Insomnia Rest to Open Banking Connect API

This tutorial covers installing the Insomnia Rest application to the Open Banking Connect APIs.

## Install Insomnia and Mastercard Auth Plugin {#install-insomnia-and-mastercard-auth-plugin}

* Download Insomnia for your OS from \[<https://insomnia.rest/download/>\]
* Install and launch the application. You should see the following user interface.

*NOTE: If you already have Insomnia app installed, please make sure you update it to version 5.15.0 or above.*

## Create a new Open Banking workspace {#create-a-new-open-banking-workspace}

1. Import API spec from the URLs:

   * AISP (<https://developer.mastercard.com/devzone/api/portal/servicespec/open-banking-connect-ais/swaggerui>)
   * PISP (<https://developer.mastercard.com/devzone/api/portal/servicespec/open-banking-connect-api/swaggerui>)  

2. Select Import/Export

3. Select Import from URL

4. Copy the API Spec URL

5. Create a New Workspace

## Create environments {#create-environments}

In Insomnia add the following configuration by selecting "Manage Environments", add the json code to the "base environment", and then fill in the consumerKey, keyAlias, keystoreP12Path, and keystorePassword. Refer to [Insomnia collection - create environmnent](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/documentation/developer-tools/insomnia-collection/#step-4---configure-environment) for details.

Choose a request from the right-hand side and click the **Send** button to submit the request and get the response back.
