This site provides the release information of the MDES Pre-Digitization API Nov 2022 release available from 20 Oct 2022 in MTF and 22 Nov 2022 in Production.

## Release Change Summary {#release-change-summary}

The MDES Platform 2022 Nov Release will add a new functionality to the Pre-Digitization API. The following change will be introduced:

* A new value **ACCOUNT_ADDED_VIA_BROWSER** will be added to the source (FPAN source) parameter in the Authorize Service and Request Activation Methods endpoints.

### Detailed Change Description for Pre-digitization API in Nov 2022 {#detailed-change-description-for-pre-digitization-api-in-nov-2022}

## Change 1 - New Value in Source (FPAN SOURCE) {#change-1---new-value-in-source-fpan-source}

Consumers these days store their card information with browsers that are enabled to autofill card information at the time of payment. From the Nov 2022 release, MDES will support pulling card information from browser storage to avoid re-entering the card details manually and provide a better user experience.

## Impact {#impact}

This change will only be available to issuers using the Authorize Service and Request Activation Methods endpoints.

By default, this value will be available to all issuers supporting Authorize Service and Request Activation Methods endpoints.

Issuers who support Authorize Service and Request Activation Methods endpoints and do not want to receive (opt-out) this new value must contact Global Customer Service before 31 October 2022. Once opted out, these issuers will receive **ACCOUNT_ON_FILE** as the source instead of the new value **ACCOUNT_ADDED_VIA_BROWSER**.

### Mandate for Implementation {#mandate-for-implementation}

By 10 Nov 2022, when the Nov 2022 release will be available in Production, issuers will need to perform the following changes depending on the services that they have already opt for:

* Change 1 will be available to those issuers using the Authorize Service and Request Activation Methods endpoints. To opt-out of receiving the new source value **ACCOUNT_ADDED_VIA_BROWSER** and instead receive the **ACCOUNT_ON_FILE** value, issuers must contact Global Customer Service before 31 October 2022 with following details.

1. Customer Name
2. CID
3. Mastercard Developers Project Client ID

Issuers are reminded that the information presented via the Pre-digitization API includes personal data which is subject to data privacy laws. Issuers must satisfy themselves that the processing of such personal data is compliant with applicable privacy laws.
