### MDES Pre-Digitization API v2.0.13 corresponds to MDES v2021 Aug (Q3) Release. {#mdes-pre-digitization-api-v2013-corresponds-to-mdes-v2021-aug-q3-release}

This site provides the release information of the MDES Pre-Digitization API version 2.0.13 available from 22 July 2021 in MTF and 26 Aug 2021 in Production.

## Release Change Summary {#release-change-summary}

The MDES Platform v2021 Aug Release will add new functionality to the Pre-Digitization API. The following change will be introduced in Pre-Digitization API v2.0.13:

* A new optional parameter **Consumer Facing Entity Name (CFEN)** associated with a Token Requestor will be introduced in the Authorize Service (AS), Request Activation Method (RAM), Deliver Activation Code (DAC) and Notify Service Activated (NSA).

## Change 1 - Introducing New Parameter {#change-1---introducing-new-parameter}

MDES will pass Consumer Facing Entity Name (CFEN) associated with a token requestor in the pre-digitization APIs.

This enhancement provides issuers with the visibility to the CFEN of the token domain associated with tokenization request. MDES will share consumer facing entity name in the following pre-digitization APIs:

* Authorize Service (AS)
* Request Activation Methods (RAM)
* Deliver Activation Code (DAC)
* Notify Service Activated (NSA)

Note: This change will only be available to those issuers who have opted to receives these APIs -- AS, RAM, DAC and NSA.   
No changes are required for those issuers who do not want to receive this information and their integration is resilient to the addition of new optional elements being added to requests and responses.

By 26 Aug 2021, when the v2021 Aug (Q3) Release will be available in Production, issuers need to perform the following changes depending on the services that you have already opt for:

* Change 1 will only be available to those issuers who have opted to receives these APIs -- AS, RAM, DAC and NSA.

Issuers are reminded that the information presented via the Pre-digitization API includes personal data which is subject to data privacy laws. Issuers must satisfy themselves that the processing of such personal data is compliant with applicable privacy laws.
