This site provides the release information of the MDES pre-digitization API for the Aug 2025 release.

## Release Change Summary {#release-change-summary}

The MDES platform August 2025 release will support online PIN entry for Tap to Add card tokenization. The following API has been impacted.

## Change 1 - Tap to Add card, including online PIN support {#change-1---tap-to-add-card-including-online-pin-support}

Mastercard has enhanced the Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) to support a new feature: Tap to Add Card, including support for Online PIN entry. This enhancement enables cardholders to tap their contactless card on a mobile device to register it into a device wallet, with optional Online PIN entry for added security and compliance with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) under PSD2.

New parameter, **accountStatusInquirySentFor**, has been introduced in the Authorize Service (AS) API.

Issuers can utilize the addition of optional parameter to get information that MDES has shared paralale Account Status Inquiry (ISO) message to validate specific data. The parameter value contains data information.

## Impact {#impact}

This change will be available to issuers who support the Authorize Service (AS) APIs and Account Status Inquiry (ASI) message to validate specific data. As a standard requirement, MDES expects implementation is resilient to future parameters.

Issuers are reminded that the information presented via the pre-digitization API includes personal data which is subject to data privacy laws. Issuers must satisfy themselves that the processing of such personal data is compliant with applicable privacy laws.
