This site provides the release information of the MDES pre-digitization API for the July 2025 release.

## Release Change Summary {#release-change-summary}

The MDES platform July 2025 release will support addition of device language in the following APIs:

* Request Activation Method (RAM)
* Authorize Service (AS)

## Change 1 - Device Language Support {#change-1---device-language-support}

A new parameter, **deviceAcceptLanguage**, has been introduced to support issuers with their decision making process. Issuers can utilize the addition of optional device language parameter either as a standalone risk data or in conjunction with other risk signals to identify and flag suspicious activities indicative of fraud.

Note: MDES will share this parameter only if a token requestor has shared it as part of digitization request.

## Impact {#impact}

This change will be available to issuers who support the Authorize Service (AS) or Request Activation Method (RAM) APIs and wish to utilize the device language support during tokenization decisions. As a standard requirement, MDES expects implementation is resilient to future parameters.

Issuers are reminded that the information presented via the pre-digitization API includes personal data which is subject to data privacy laws. Issuers must satisfy themselves that the processing of such personal data is compliant with applicable privacy laws.
