# Token Transition States Diagram

The diagram below shows Tokens' transition diagram in the MDES Token Vault, indicating a token's main states and the actions that determine the changing from one state to another.

Note: A token will be go back to the token pool (ready to use) after 30 days in the 'awaiting activation' state. NTU is not sent to the issuer for inactive tokens that are deleted.
