## Summary of Changes {#summary-of-changes}

The June 2025 MDES platform release will support suppression of token provisioning notifications for 'Card on File' (CoF) tokens. Both token requestors and on-behalf of token requestors can leverage this functionality for their respective Token Requestor Identifiers (TRIDs).

CoF token provisioning is a synchronous process. The tokens will be active immediately following a successful tokenize request. Therefore, these notifications that inform the merchant that the token is active become redundant. Merchants can start leveraging these tokens for making the transactions.

The increased technical capacity as a result of phasing out token provisioning NTUs, can be used for other operations.

The suppression of token provisioning updates will be supported for M4M (Merchants for MDES) and SCOF (SRC Card on File) partners who have contacted Mastercard for their preferences by 15th Jan 2025 as part of the advance notice shared in the announcement. ## Impact {#impact}

Existing customer who have provided their preferences as part of the advance notice shared in the announcement Reference: [GLB 10123.2](https://trc-techresource.mastercard.com/r/bundle/m_an10123_en-us/page/d/en-US/uvb1719363129485.html)will see the notifications phased out when this functionality goes live in Production.

For the remaining customers, to ensure backward-compatibility, MDES will continue to publish the notifications until their configuration is updated to suppress the notifications for a given partner.
