## Release Change Summary {#release-change-summary}

MDES Customer Service Update API now supports the removal of the Alternate Account Identifier Suffix associated to an existing token. Issuers who allocated an alternate account identifier during token provisioning will be able to change the identifier shown in supported device wallets to the FPAN suffix instead. To support this change, the Update API request has been updated as follows:

* The Update API request will be enhanced to accept a new field to request the removal of Alternate Account Identifier Suffix.

The Update API has a new field introduced in the request.

## Impact {#impact}

This change only affects Issuers who have allocated an Alternate Account Identifier during token provisioning and wish to change the identifier in the digital wallet to the FPAN suffix.
For all new and existing implementations, the Update API request will accept a new field to request the removal of Alternate Account Identifier Suffix associated with the token.

Please follow the requirements described in the Open API YAML specification to implement this new functionality.
