# Reconciliation Reports
source: https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/index.md

Mastercard Send provides Program Participants with consolidated daily reports of their Mastercard Send transaction activity to assist Participants with settlement and reconciliation.

During onboarding, Mastercard configures either [v7](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/index.md#v7-reconciliation-reports) or [v8](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/index.md#v8-reconciliation-reports) reconciliation reports for a Participant, based on their implementation. At that time, the Participant can specify whether their reports:

* Provide the last 4 digits of transaction account numbers or the full account numbers.
* Include up to four [custom fields](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/index.md#custom-fields-for-reconciliation), which are populated with additional values the Participant supplies in the Funding and Payment Transaction API calls.
**NOTE:**

* Participants using v7 reconciliation reports do not need to move to the v8 reports at this time. The v8 reports support the Mastercard Network, domestic and cross-border activity. They do not currently support other networks.
* Participants using the MTF Simulator will not get reports.
For report samples, see [here](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/report-samples/index.md).

## V7 reconciliation reports {#v7-reconciliation-reports}

Mastercard Send generates separate reports for global activity and U.K. Faster Payments Service (FPS) activity, depending on the participant's implementation. Mastercard Send also provides additional [U.S.-specific reports](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/index.md#us-specific-settlement-reconciliation-reports) to help U.S. Acquirers reconcile interchange fees with U.S. Receive Networks.

The following table summarizes the reports and delivery cutoff times for each. The report names in this table link to detailed descriptions and report specifications.

### U.S.-specific settlement reconciliation reports {#us-specific-settlement-reconciliation-reports}

For example, if the Settlement Service cutoff time is 08:00 CST, Mastercard Send typically delivers the GRN 13:00--14:00 and the GMR 18:00-19:00 (if any exceptions are generated) for both MTF and Production.

The v8 reports will start once the first transaction is run under the SSID, and they will continue daily even if empty (no data). The GRN and GMR are only generated on local settlement (banking) days determined by the Mastercard SAM system, which exclude currency holidays and local banking holidays. In the Mastercard Send Customer Site, the report names will include the Settlement Cycle number, for example, 'US00000001'.

For the options for receiving Mastercard Send Reconciliation Reports, see the next section.

## Accessing reports {#accessing-reports}

Acquirers, Sponsor OIs, and Direct TIs have several file transfer options for receiving Mastercard Send Reconciliation Reports.
The following table summarizes the connectivity options. Except for the Mastercard Send Suite, all other options require a Mastercard Connect account and have built-in encryption. For additional details, see the [*File Transfer Manual*](https://trc-techresource.mastercard.com/r/bundle/m_fb_en-us/page/d/en-US), available in the [Technical Resource Center](https://trc-techresource.mastercard.com/) on Mastercard Connect.

**NOTE:** One Global File Transfer (GFT) endpoint must receive all the reports for a Program participant. The GFT setup activity is part of the Mastercard Send onboarding project and might add time to the implementation. The implementation timeframes shown are approximate and depend on resource availability and system freeze dates.

Acquirers, Sponsor OIs, and Direct TIs may also get Mastercard Send Reconciliation Reports manually from the Mastercard Send Customer Site found on Mastercard Connect.

TIs that do not connect directly to the Mastercard APIs (known as 'Indirect TIs') will receive the reporting that their Acquirer provides.

## Custom fields for reconciliation {#custom-fields-for-reconciliation}

During onboarding, the OI/TI can configure up to four custom fields which will be added to their reconciliation reports: DTR and Recon (v7), or GDR and GRN (v8).

These fields enable the OI/TI to provide custom values in their Funding and Payment Transaction API calls (using the configured custom field names) which will appear in their reports to provide additional transaction reference information that assists with reconciliation and transaction research. For example, participants with multiple programs can use a custom field to identify the associated program for each transaction to help them with reconciliation.

The custom field information is not passed to Receive Networks.

Custom field configuration must be completed during implementation. When configuring multiple custom fields, the participant must indicate the order in which custom fields should be displayed in the reports.

The field name and field values both support alphanumeric characters. The field name maximum length is 40 characters, and the field value maximum length is 200 characters. For additional information and layout, see the "Custom Field Name" table row in the [v7](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/dtr-recon/index.md) or [v8](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-send/documentation/reports/gdr-grn-gmr/index.md) report specifications.
