## FAQ {#faq}

Mastercard Processing brings integrated, end-to-end debit, credit, prepaid, commercial, and virtual card processing solutions, enabling you to meet consumers' evolving needs across the entire payments life cycle with efficiency, scalability, and speed to market.
Partnering with us means you can bring the latest innovation to your customers in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. In addition, you have access to Mastercard's other innovative, value-added services, unlike independent service providers. Mastercard Processing provides a global solution that includes Europe and the Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions. New countries are being added due to issuer demand and regulatory, legal, and Scheme compliance scans. Dispute API can be used to integrate Mastercard Processing Dispute Assistant Module (DAM) with your backend. This creates wide possibilities for designing modern solutions for cardholders, which will improve the customer experience. You can integrate the Dispute API with your banking application, for example, a mobile app, making the dispute case creation simple for the cardholder as a few clicks. Through Dispute API calls, that action would create a new case in DAM which can be reviewed by the Issuers Chargeback team. According to the operating model, the chargeback can be raised in the Self-Service or On-Behalf model. You can try the APIs using the API Explorer offered by the Mastercard Developers portal or self-onboard on the Sandbox environment. To test the API in the Sandbox environment, you create a project in the Developers' portal, generate Sandbox keys, and use our test data. The Sandbox environment returns the responses using dummy data, and the response format is the same as the response in the MTF and Production environments.

Sandbox is a good environment to ensure you can correctly authenticate with the gateway using a shared client certificate, encrypt sensitive data in the requests and decrypt data from the responses, comply with the API specification, and experience the API functionality.
Sign-up requires you to sign a letter of intent and complete the implementation project scoping to agree on specific requirements to be prepared in the MTF and Production environments. Mastercard Processing takes utmost care while handling sensitive data. The Dispute API uses JSON Web Encryption (JWE) end-to-end payload encryption for all operations. Contact your Mastercard representative for pricing details. Mastercard Processing has designed a seamless implementation process built on best practices. Mastercard Processing Customer Delivery teams manage the end-to-end implementation through a structured project management methodology, ensuring the project is delivered according to the agreed specifications and time following an integrated project plan, including scheme and processing elements. A Project Manager will be assigned to the project upon initiation. They will drive all necessary project management tasks and coordinate efforts to ensure the timely delivery of the products.
