### How it works {#how-it-works}

Consumers can make cashless payments from their mobile phone by simply scanning a Mastercard QR Code. Static QR requires the customer to specify the payment amount before completing the transaction. This payment method has the convenience of cash and the security of a card payment without needing a card payment terminal.
