## Step 5: Best Practices for Migration {#step-5-best-practices-for-migration}

* Get access to Sandbox/MTF environment, test in lower environments and enable test TRIDs on M4M.

* Create and maintain a migration/rollout plan for SCOF. For example, go-live on SCOF with new merchants (if applicable), start migration, and then scale.

* Once onboarded to SCOF, all new TRIDs/merchants should be onboarded to SCOF.

* Perform migration of TURs to SCOF when the cardholder is not actively transacting.

* Establish a support model for escalation.

* Maintain a status of migrated and non-migrated tokens.

### Important Recommendations {#important-recommendations}

* Onboard to TRID API in both MTF and Production environments to complete testing.

* TRID numbers should differ in MTF and Production environments so testing aligns with the current SCOF set up.
