# Move from M4M to Secure Card on File

Secure Card on File (SCOF) extends the power of Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) by offering new features, use cases, and capabilities that are not available on MDES for Merchants. This tutorial is for MDES for Merchants (M4M) customers who want to use the extra features and services that Secure Card on File (SCOF) offers.

**Things to Remember**

* If you're a new customer looking to use SCOF for tokenization, review our [SCOF documentation](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/documentation/use-cases/card-on-file/index.md) and [tutorial](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/tutorial/integrate_apis_scof/index.md) to integrated with SCOF.   
* If you're an M4M customer with tokenized data (Primary Account Numbers or PANs) as Token Unique References (TURs), you can start using our new APIs to move these tokens to the SCOF platform.   
* Migration is a process of exchanging each unique TUR for an `srcDigitalCardId`. By doing so, you're enabled to utilize the value-added services of Secure Card on File.
