# Enroll your card and Retrieve card details

## Step 4.1: Enroll your card {#step-41-enroll-your-card}

Call the [Enroll Card](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/documentation/api-reference/apis/index.md#card) API for card tokenization and retrieve the `srcDigitalCardId` and `authenticationMethods`. This token (`srcDigitalCardId`) is associated with the PAN (Primary Account Number) in the consumer's profile.

Warning: Use Mastercard provided `src-fpan-encryption` public key to encrypt the card object before calling ([POST /cards](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/documentation/api-reference/apis/index.md#card)). Refer to [Card Encryption](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/tutorial/perform-encryption/index.md) tutorial for details on how to obtain the public keys and encrypt the card object.

Alternatively, for tokenizing multiple cards (PANs or TURs) in a batch, use [Card Batch Enroll](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/documentation/api-reference/apis/index.md#cards-batch-enrollment) API. ## Step 4.2: Retrieve card details {#step-42-retrieve-card-details}

Use the [Get Cards](https://developer.mastercard.com/mastercard-checkout-solutions/documentation/api-reference/apis/index.md#card) API to fetch the latest card information, such as `srcDigitalCardId`, `maskedCard`, `mfaEligibility`, and `authenticationMethods`.
