# Mastercard Checkout Solutions

Developed by Mastercard and built upon EMV® Secure Remote Commerce standards^1^, Mastercard Checkout Solutions provides ecommerce solutions which offer guest checkout and card tokenization services that deliver the same security, convenience and control as offered in the physical world.

## How it Works {#how-it-works}

* Consumer provides their account, PAN, profile or personal details on the Integrator's site. An Integrator can be a merchant, payment gateway, issuer, eCommerce service provider or other service provider.

* The Integrator consumes services offered by Mastercard Checkout Solutions to provide checkout experiences to the consumer.

* For details on who can integrate and how they interact with Mastercard Checkout Solutions, refer to the Participants and Interactions section within each product.

Note: For the purpose of this documentation, all the entities performing integration will be referred to as an 'Integrator'.
