# Testing
source: https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/testing/index.md

Use the resources on this page to test your integration with Mastercard's Issuer Enablement APIs in the Sandbox environment. Choose a testing workflow to configure your request, call the relevant APIs, and verify the response.
Tip: Start all validation in Sandbox before moving to Production.

## Choose a Testing Method {#choose-a-testing-method}

Choose a testing method that best matches how you want to validate requests:

* [Postman Collection](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/postman-collection/index.md) --- pre-built requests with OAuth and encryption configured.
* [Insomnia Collection](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/insomnia-collection/index.md) --- an alternative API client with a ready-to-use workspace.
* [Reference Application](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/reference-app/index.md) --- a working implementation you can run and inspect.
* Custom API client generated as per guidance in the [API Basics](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/api-basics/index.md).

## Recommended Testing Workflows {#recommended-testing-workflows}

The recommended flows give you coverage across auto-enablement (whether in an asynchronous batch or a single request), credential and profile lifecyle management, and passkey creation. Use the following sequences to validate the main endpoint families with a realistic flow:

### Enroll credentials in a batch and check batch processing status {#enroll-credentials-in-a-batch-and-check-batch-processing-status}

1. Submit a request to asynchronously enroll one or more credentials in your credential directory.
2. Use the returned batch ID to check the processing status of the batch.

See [Test Batch Enablement](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/testing/auto-enablement/index.md#test-batch-enablement).

### Enroll and manage the lifecycle of a single credential {#enroll-and-manage-the-lifecycle-of-a-single-credential}

1. Enroll a single credential in your credential directory.
2. Retrieve or search for that credential.
3. Update the credential details.
4. Delete the credential.

See [Manage Payment Credentials](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/testing/auto-enablement/index.md#manage-payment-credentials).

### Manage the lifecycle of a consumer profile {#manage-the-lifecycle-of-a-consumer-profile}

1. Retrieve a consumer profile.
2. Update the details of a consumer profile.
3. Delete a consumer profile.

See [Manage Consumer Profiles](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/testing/auto-enablement/index.md#manage-consumer-profiles).

### Create and link a payment passkey {#create-and-link-a-payment-passkey}

1. Start a passkey creation session
2. Link the passkey to the payment account

See [Testing Passkeys](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/testing/passkeys/index.md).
