Although the issuer directory is built with the initial goal of supporting auto-enrollment to provide a seamless checkout experience with Click to Pay, however the directory construct is extensible and can support other use cases and products within MACS and Mastercard.

Provision each card at a time by giving customers the option to enroll in Click to Pay. You can do so by presenting Click to Pay as a payment button in the card settings, or in the in-app banner.

## How It Works {#how-it-works}

Issuers can choose either of the two following methods to provision and enroll consumers:
There are three main steps to integrate with Mastercard Click to Pay Push Provisioning via the enroll API.

1. Present Mastercard Click to Pay to Consumers.
2. Allow Consumers to select and add eligible cards to Mastercard Click to Pay.
3. Enroll Consumers to Mastercard Click to Pay.

The [Click to Pay enroll API](https://developer.mastercard.com/issuer-enrollment/documentation/index.md) allows Issuers to push **pushAccountReceipt** to Click to Pay and create Consumers in Click to Pay. Issuer must send Personally Identifiable Information (PII) via enroll API. PII data includes consumer first name, last name, email and phone number.

## Getting Started {#getting-started}

Mastercard Click to Pay Push Provisioning for Issuers is limited to certain regions.

### Before You Start {#before-you-start}

* Issuers need to implement requirements and best practices for the Mastercard Click to Pay Program. Refer to the **Issuer Requirements** section in [Mastercard Click to Pay Program Requirements](https://techdocs.mastercard.com/bundle/mc_click_to_pay_reqs/page/rfh1615997307367.html). Ensure you are logged into [Mastercard Connect](https://www.mastercardconnect.com/-/sign-in) to access the document.
* Issuers must enroll in [Mastercard Digital Enablement (MDES)](https://developer.mastercard.com/product/mdes/#financial-institutions) to activate payment cards to receive token requests from Mastercard Click to Pay.
* Issuers must onboard to Mastercard Click to Pay through the Onboarding and Registration Portal using [Mastercard Connect](https://www.mastercardconnect.com/-/sign-in) to obtain API keys.

## Supported Cards {#supported-cards}

Mastercard Click to Pay supports all Mastercard credit, debit and prepaid payment methods. However, each merchant decides which payment brands to accept. Enrollment and availability of specific card programs may vary depending on the brand.

### Good to Know {#good-to-know}

* Issuers can leverage the [MDES Token Connect API](https://developer.mastercard.com/mdes-token-connect/documentation/) (a set of inbound web requests) to securely push account information to token requestors.
* Issuers can use the [pushMultipleAccounts](https://developer.mastercard.com/mdes-token-connect/documentation) API to push an eligible card to Mastercard Click to Pay. Issuers allowing Consumers to add cards to Mastercard Click to Pay must send card details and billing information in order to provide a seamless payments user experience.
