# Move Project to Production

This section walks through the steps required to get the production environment access and then call the Identity Insights Solutions API.

## Prerequisites to Requesting Production Access {#prerequisites-to-requesting-production-access}

Complete these pre-requisites before requesting production access:

* A Commercial Contract must be in place to use Identity Insights Solutions.
* Your Mastercard representative must have signed off on your Sandbox Integration.
* You must have specified the commercial countries within your Developer Zone Project that your service will operate in.

## Step 1: Request Production Access {#step-1-request-production-access}

Select whether to have Mastercard generate a new key and Certificate Signing Request (CSR) when creating your Mutual TLS (MTLS) Certificate, or whether you want to supply your own CSR.
Note: If you have your own MTLS Certificate, click the "Skip This Step" button. Add your MTLS certificate to the project directly on the Project's Credentials Screen. ![](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/identity-insights-solutions/uploads/request-prod-access.png)

## Step 2: Generate Production Credential Details {#step-2-generate-production-credential-details}

To generate credentials with a Mastercard generated CSR, select the **Generate a new Private Key option** , click **Proceed**, then:

1. Enter the Certificate alias along with the Keystore password, taking note of the values used as these values are needed later in this workflow.
2. Specify the values to include within the Distinguished Name (DN) of the CSR. Follow the guidelines outlined within the Security section of the Developer Zone Platform Overview Space.
3. Click **Proceed**.

To upload your own CSR select the **Provide Your Own Credential** option, click *Proceed*, specify the certificate alias, and then either paste your CSR or select a location to upload the CSR from.

If you want to upload a CSR at a later point in time, click **Skip this step**.

## Step 3: Download Production Credential Details {#step-3-download-production-credential-details}

Your access for Production Access requires internal approval, which is typically completed within five business days.

On approval, an email is sent to the email address associated with the project, at which point the production credentials are available for download under the Credentials section of the project on Mastercard Developers.

## Step 4: Update project to reference production values {#step-4-update-project-to-reference-production-values}

1. Contact your [Mastercard representative](https://developer.mastercard.com/identity-insights-solutions/documentation/support/index.md#how-can-i-find-who-is-my-mastercard-representative) to inform them that you intend on moving to production.
2. Update references from sandbox to production:  
   a. Replace the sandbox URL with the appropriate Production URL for the location you will be sending your requests to.  
   b. Replace the sandbox client ID with the appropriate Production client ID. c. Replace the sandbox encryption fingerprint and key with the production fingerprint and key available from the Production Credentials page within your Developer Zone project.  
   d. Replace sandbox MTLS key and cert details with the key and cert details of the production certificate available from the Production. Credentials page within your Developer Zone project.
3. Once your Mastercard representative has confirmed that your project is ready for promotion to Production (which can take up to five business days), execute a request and confirm that you get the appropriate response confirming connectivity to the Identity Insights Solution service.
