## Overview  {#overview}

Mastercard Identity Insights Risk Score (IIRS) delivers a real-time, Machine-Learning (ML) powered risk score that provides businesses with insight into how Mastercard views the riskiness of an identity.

IIRS enables businesses to increase the accuracy of their risk decisioning. IIRS is built on the core identity attributes of name, email, phone, address, IP, device, and payment. A global identity network of over 9 billion identity elements, and over 35 billion digital interactions, powers IIRS. Mastercard IIRS provides a single, intuitive score that helps merchants and their partners make faster, more confident risk decisions during the transaction flow.
Note: IIRS is only available to Mastercard merchants and acquirers in the following countries: United States, South Africa, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates.
