# Move Project to Production

This section walks through the steps required to get the production environment access and then call the Identity Insights for Transactions API.

## Request Production Access {#request-production-access}

* Click on **Request Production Access** button in the project summary page.

## Configure Service details {#configure-service-details}

1. Add **Interbank Card Association number** , **company id** and country. The Mastercard assigned ICA is used for customer identification when sending a transaction to Mastercard Identity Insights for Transactions API. The ICA will also be used for billing of usage of Identity Insights for Transactions.
2. Click **Proceed**.

## Project credentials {#project-credentials}

1. Enter certificate alias and upload certificate (.pem file) from external client certificate.
2. To get a certificate, follow these instructions [Obtain Certificate to Upload](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/documentation/security-and-authentication/using-mtls-to-access-mastercard-apis/#1-before-you-start-getting-mtls-client-certificates-for-your-project)
3. Once the certificate is uploaded, click **Continue** to obtain encryption keys.

**Note: Always use a new certificate generated in step 2**

## Additional credentials {#additional-credentials}

1. Click **Update project**.
2. Download the generated Client Encryption Key for MTLS authentication in production.
3. Click **Open project**
4. Project summary will be displayed.
5. You can optionally choose to invite other people to your project by selecting the Team option. Invited members will have Read-only or Admin access to the project as granted.

### Update project to reference production values {#update-project-to-reference-production-values}

1. Reach out to
   your [Mastercard Representative](https://developer.mastercard.com/identity-insights-for-transactions/documentation/support/index.md#how-can-i-find-who-is-my-mastercard-representative) to
   inform them that you intend on moving to production.

2. Update references from sandbox to production:  

   a. Replace the sandbox URL with the appropriate Production URL for the location you will be sending your requests
   to.  

   b. Replace the sandbox client ID with the appropriate Production client ID  

   c. Replace sandbox encryption fingerprint and key with the production fingerprint and key available from the
   Production Credentials page within your Developer Zone project.  

   d. Replace sandbox MTLS key and cert details with those of the production certificate available from the Production
   Credentials page within your Developer Zone project.

3. Once your Mastercard Representative has confirmed that your project is ready to be promoted to Production (can take
   up to 5 Business Days), execute a request and confirm that you get the appropriate response confirming connectivity
   to the IIT application.
