Alert: Mastercard will be migrating from Entrust to DigiCert CA certificates, in response to the announcement made by Google and Mozilla to move away from Entrust CA. You are required to switch to DigiCert CA before March 10, 2025 in production to ensure a successful SSL handshake and avoid any service disruption. Refer to the

### What Mastercard Is Expecting {#what-mastercard-is-expecting}

Mastercard issuers, acquirers, and processors use the Fraud and Loss Database (FLD) APIs in the following ways, based on the information they provide:

* Connected to a front-end user interface: API calls occur throughout the day
* Connected to back-end: customers automate API requests based on recommended user journeys through a steady traffic throughout the day

Mastercard supports these use cases by analyzing its current capabilities, including transaction volumes and file submission times.

### What to Expect from Mastercard {#what-to-expect-from-mastercard}

#### Call Volume Controls {#call-volume-controls}

To accommodate large volume of calls from multiple entities simultaneously, FLD limits the rate to **30** TPS per customer. This helps ensure APIs are performant.

## Next steps {#next-steps}

Now that you have a good understanding of all the services endpoints, proceed to the [Integration and Testing](https://developer.mastercard.com/fld-fraud-submission/documentation/integration/index.md) section to learn how to integrate and make sure you are ready to begin testing.
