# Currency Conversion Summary Tutorial

This tutorial walks through a full request and response for `GET /summary-rates`, the endpoint that returns the Mastercard conversion rate, ECB reference rate, and calculated mark-up for a currency pair.

## Query Parameters {#query-parameters}

| `crdhld_bill_curr` | Yes      | String                | ISO 4217 currency code of the cardholder billing currency.                                    |
| `bank_fee_pct`     | No       | Number                | Percentage mark-up/fee the issuer applies to the cardholder, up to 4 decimal places.          |
| `bank_fee_fixed`   | No       | Number                | Fixed mark-up/fee the issuer applies, in cardholder billing currency, up to 6 decimal places. |

If you omit `bank_fee_pct` and `bank_fee_fixed`, the `...InclAllFees` and `...ExclAllFees` fields will be equal, since no issuer fee is applied.

This endpoint does not require payload encryption --- it is a `GET` request with no request body.
