## Donation Reports for Charities {#donation-reports-for-charities}

Mastercard Donate can generate a CSV report, referred to as **Donation Details File**, containing details of the donations made by cardholders, including their name, email address, donation amount, and date of donation.

Mastercard Donate generates scheduled batch reports of successful donations for charities at different frequencies based on customer preferences. The report is delivered securely to Mastercard customers who have integrated Mastercard Donate products, allowing them to review all the donations generated by their program.
Note: You should register to the Mastercard Connect portal to receive the Donation Details File. Reach out to a Mastercard representative for assistance with the registration process.

### Types of Donation Reports {#types-of-donation-reports}

Mastercard Donate provides two types of donation reports to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Customers can choose the report type, frequency, and delivery method that best aligns with their operational needs.

### Steps to Receive Charity Reports {#steps-to-receive-charity-reports}

Authorized personnel, such as issuers or representatives of charities, can access these reports by following these steps:

1. **Onboard to the Secure Messaging Platform**:

   * The primary delivery method for reports is through Secure Message, ensuring secure and reliable transmission of sensitive data.
   * Authorized personnel must onboard to the Secure Message platform via MC Connect to receive reports through secure messaging.
2. **PID (Personal Identification Number) Creation**: After successful onboarding, a unique PID is generated and shared with the customer.

3. **Providing Required Details**:

   * Customers must share the following information with the product or business team:
     * **Frequency**: Specify how often you need the report, that is, Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly.
     * **Report Type**: Indicate whether the request is for a Charity Report or an Aggregation Report.
   * The Product team will get these changes done and confirm back to the customer.
4. **Onboarding for GFT/NGFT Channels**: This is an optional step. If customers prefer to receive reports via GFT or NGFT, they must complete the respective onboarding process with assistance from BizOps.

## Tax Receipts {#tax-receipts}

The provision of a tax receipt is a legal necessity in many locations and hence a fundamental aspect of Mastercard Donate.

Charities onboarded to the Mastercard Donate platform and registered to Mastercard Connect may access the Donation Details File. This allows them to comply with legal and audit obligations and generate tax receipts for individual donors as required by local regulations.
