### User redeems reward points for an in-game purchase {#user-redeems-reward-points-for-an-in-game-purchase}

The user discovers that their favorite game now offers digital redemptions for in-game purchases. Excited, they go to the gaming portal and select a power-up to add to their cart. At checkout, as the user is entering their eligible credit card number, the merchant partner's payment processor detects eligibility for digital redemption. To their surprise, their reward points balance is displayed along with the equivalent value in currency.

The user is pleased to realize they have sufficient points to pay for the power-up only using points. To proceed and pay with points, the user toggles the switch and chooses to pay the full amount using only their loyalty points. The redemption happens instantly; the power-up is purchased and is immediately added to the user's gaming experience.
