# Value-added services

Value-added services can be used alongside a Payment flow to validate or retrieve information before a Payment is submitted, or to provide additional information after submission.

The services available depend on your program configuration, the destination country and the payout method.

Value-added services cover two stages in the Payment journey:

* Validate or retrieve information before submitting a Payment
* Provide additional information after submitting a Payment

### Validate or retrieve information before submitting a Payment {#validate-or-retrieve-information-before-submitting-a-payment}
