Smart Subscriptions can be integrated at different depths depending on your team's maturity, technical investment, and engagement goals. This section compares three viable paths, each balancing visibility and effort.

**Why it works:** It is fast to ship and meets users where they already investigate charges.

**What it is:** Lightweight integration + contextual controls and richer Subscription Details page.   

**Why it works:** Displaying contextual controls sooner increases visibility and engagement, while keeping the overall footprint small.

#### Dedicated subscription hub {#dedicated-subscription-hub}

**What it is:** A true subscription management space:

* Hub overview
* Subscription management
* Upcoming charges
* Spend breakdown  

**Why it works:** Visibility builds habits. Users start returning proactively not just reactively.

#### Lightweight integration {#lightweight-integration}

Embed basic Smart Subscriptions inside Transaction Details with a simple Active / Inactive list. A low-lift way to enable subscription management when real estate and resources are limited.

**If you are optimizing for speed →**
**Lightweight integration -** Uses existing transaction surfaces to add basic Smart Subscriptions with minimal engineering work. Great for MVPs or teams with tight timelines.
**If you are balancing impact + effort →**
**Enhanced integration -** Add an enhanced Subscription Details page with clearer context, more information, and multiple entry points. More helpful for users without requiring a full hub.
**If you want long-term engagement →**
**Dedicated subscription hub -** Create a centralized space with insights, history, upcoming payments, and multiple entry points in high-intent spaces to drive repeat visits and long-term value.

Each path can evolve into the next:

1. Start with controls and a subscription list page
2. Add entry points in high intent spaces and more subscription details
3. Eventually support a dedicated hub to increase engagement  

This allows data, IA, and engineering foundations to grow responsibly.
