## Overview {#overview}

Consent Management \& Enrollment APIs enable two primary use cases for [Transaction Notifications](https://developer.mastercard.com/product/transaction-notifications/):

* Single card enrollment
* Bulk card enrollment

Warning: Both options offer a seamless and secure process for enrolling in Transaction Notifications, while also ensuring that the cardholder's explicit consent is obtained before any registration takes place. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy and security requirements, when obtaining consent and accessing cardholder information.

### Single Card Enrollment {#single-card-enrollment}

When explicit cardholder consent is required, you can obtain consent using either Mastercard Consent Management \& Enrollment APIs or the Mastercard Consent Management \& Enrollment UI. Through the Consent Management \& Enrollment APIs, you manage both the consent user experience and the card registration for Transaction Notifications, which includes handling PAN. Alternatively, by using the Mastercard Consent Management \& Enrollment UI, you can acquire cardholders' consent without handling card data.

### Bulk Cards Enrollment {#bulk-cards-enrollment}

If you have already received consents from cardholders as part of a card agreement (through a corporate card program, for example), you can use bulk enrollment APIs. This enables the enrollment of multiple cards in a single API request.
