The MCPP APIs provide a seamless and safe way to facilitate payments capability from Mastercard Community Pass Applications. These APIs help external payment providers to validate customer details before accepting a payment and then notify about the payment status to the relevant Mastercard Application. * **Callbacks** -
  This API is to be used by the payment provider to notify payment status to relevant Mastercard Applications in case the payment was initiated by the Mastercard Application.

* **Notifications** -
  This API is to be used by the payment provider to notify a payment status to relevant Mastercard Applications in case the payment was initiated from an application external to Mastercard.

* **Validations** -
  This API is to be used to validate customer information present within relevant Mastercard Applications.

* **B2B payments** -- Buyers (Local, regional or international buyers) paying supplier organizations.
* **B2C Payments** -- Suppliers/organizations making payments to individual farmers/beneficiaries.
* **C2B payments** -- Parents making payments of school fees to schools.

To test the MCPP APIs in a Sandbox environment you can create a project, generate Sandbox keys, and use our test data. You can refer to our [reference implementation](https://developer.mastercard.com/community-pass-payment-apis/documentation/reference_app/index.md) guide for details. The service is free to use in the Sandbox environments. There is no limit on the number of payment requests that you may send in Sandbox environments.
