# Move Project to Production

After successfully testing in the sandbox environment, you are ready to move your project to production. This guide takes you through the steps needed to move your Mastercard Developers Sandbox project to a production project.

* How to request access to the production environment.
* How to create a client and Mastercard encryption keys in production.
* How to onboard your Consumer Key onto the Carbon Calculator.

### Request Production access {#request-production-access}

### Complete Company profile {#complete-company-profile}

* You need to provide additional details about your company.

### Create a Production key {#create-a-production-key}

* Enter a descriptive name for the key, which identifies its purpose and environment, in the "Key Alias" field.
* Enter a password used to encrypt the keys that the customer will receive, in the "Keystore Password" field.

### Create Mastercard Encryption Keys {#create-mastercard-encryption-keys}

* Click **Next** to generate a 2048-bit key pair used for Carbon Calculator API calls. ![Request prod access](https://static.developer.mastercard.com/content/carbon-calculator/Images/prod-access/prod5.png)

### Confirm and Download keys {#confirm-and-download-keys}

* Click the **Confirm and Download Keys** and save the downloaded file.
* Once you complete this process, the Mastercard API Support Team will review and approve your request for production access.
* You will receive an email from Mastercard Developers to your registered email address, depending upon the outcome of the review. Note: Typically, it takes 3-5 working days to review and approve the Carbon Calculator APIs production access request.
