source: https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/onboarding-checklist/index.md

This guide outlines the end-to-end process, expected timeframes, and requirements for moving your BIN Lookup integration from the Sandbox environment to Production.

The end-to-end process from Sandbox to Production follows this sequence:

1. **Complete Sandbox testing** : Validate your integration works correctly against the Sandbox environment. See [Testing](https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/testing/index.md).
2. [Contact the BIN Lookup team](mailto:DBN.BinTableResource.Support@mastercard.com) to confirm eligibility and discuss any agreement or pricing requirements.
3. [Register Your Company with Mastercard (CID)](https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/onboarding-checklist/index.md#step-1-register-your-company-with-mastercard-cid).
4. [Set Up Your Billing (ICA)](https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/onboarding-checklist/index.md#step-2-set-up-your-billing-ica).
5. [Request Production Access](https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/onboarding-checklist/index.md#step-3-request-production-access).
6. Complete the [Contracting](https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/onboarding-checklist/index.md#step-4-contracting) process.
7. **Review and approval**: The BIN Lookup team verifies your eligibility and submitted information.
8. **Billing setup**: If applicable, an invoice is generated and sent to your billing contact.
9. **Production credentials issued**: Upon approval, production access is granted.
10. **Go live** : Update your integration to use the production base URL: `https://api.mastercard.com/bin-resources`.

## Prerequisites {#prerequisites}

* Completed integration and testing in the Sandbox environment with a 100% success rate.

## Register Your Company with Mastercard (CID) {#register-your-company-with-mastercard-cid}

To access Production, you must be registered as a Mastercard customer. As a registered customer you are assigned a CID, a customer ID that identifies your organization internally in Mastercard. Once you have your CID, you must link it to your Mastercard Developers account or project by verifying your company. To learn more, see [Company Verification](https://developer.mastercard.com/platform/documentation/account-management/company-verification/).

If you are not currently a Mastercard customer you can begin the process by filling in the [new customer relationship form](https://form.mastercard.com/jfe/form/SV_egkwnY07uSh29wi).

## Set Up Your Billing (ICA) {#set-up-your-billing-ica}

Mastercard uses an Interbank Card Association Number (ICA) to identify how, and when, to bill a customer using a billing event. We are working hard to bring credit card billing as an option but as of now you need an ICA. Once you have previously been onboarded as a Mastercard customer and have a CID, you can request an ICA as a non-member (merchant, third-party processor, and so on) by completing the [new customer relationship form](https://form.mastercard.com/jfe/form/SV_egkwnY07uSh29wi).
Note: You can only use the customer relationship form if you are a merchant or fintech. If you are a payment processor you must engage with your acquirer, who can onboard you as a sponsored Mastercard customer using Mastercard Connect. If you are an acquirer, your CID and ICA is already assigned to you.

## Request Production Access {#request-production-access}

Once you have completed your Sandbox testing and verified your company, follow these steps to request production access:

1. **Create or update your project** : On the [Mastercard Developers](https://developer.mastercard.com) dashboard, create a new project or update your existing Sandbox project.
2. **Submit a production request** : Click the **Request Production access** button on the **Summary** page of your project.
3. Answer the questions about your use case and accept the click-through agreement displayed. Refer to [Step 4: Contracting](https://developer.mastercard.com/bin-lookup/documentation/onboarding-checklist/index.md#step-4-contracting).
4. **Submit**: The BIN Lookup team receives your request and begins the review process.

## Contracting {#contracting}

To access BIN Lookup in production, an agreement with Mastercard is required. Depending on your circumstances, one of the following contracting paths applies:

* **Eligible acquirers and their merchants**: Accept the click-through agreement when you request Production access. No additional steps are required.
* **All other customers**: Accept the click-through agreement when you request Production access. A BIN Lookup team member may reach out after your request to discuss any additional details.

If you are unsure which path applies to your organization, or would like to discuss your options, contact [DBN.BinTableResource.Support@mastercard.com](mailto:DBN.BinTableResource.Support@mastercard.com). Access is only approved once the applicable agreements are fully executed.
Warning: Production access is for your organization only. You may use the API and BIN data only as permitted by your agreement. Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing BIN data or API access is not allowed unless Mastercard has approved a separate written agreement.
