## FAQ {#faq}

Access is restricted to active RPPS origination (payment sending) customers. This product is currently available in the US only. When an API call is submitted, RPPS will generate a response indicating if the payment information in the request passes or fails RPPS payment processing edits. An RPPS contract amendment is required. If you have questions about fees and contract requirements, please see the Get Help section below. The Bill Payment Validator service allows RPPS enabled originators to validate consumer bill payment information before sending a corresponding payment transaction in an RPPS batch payment file. The service is particularly useful for RPPS originators who need to provide immediate confirmation to a consumer that a bill payment will be made without errors. Sandbox registration and self-service testing for this service is handled through Mastercard Developers. Production access is requested and granted though Mastercard Developers once Sandbox testing is complete and the required RPPS contract amendment has been executed.
