Product Graduation Plus (PGP) enables seamless cardholder migration by maintaining their 16-digit card number across card programs based on cardholders' needs or Issuer forecasts and trends.
Product Graduation Plus helps issuers optimize their portfolio profitability by moving cardholders seamlessly from one card product to another without disruption.

Cardholders are provided a frictionless experience throughout their lifecycle by keeping the same account number for life, regardless of why they have received a new card. Maintain a 16-digit account number while graduating within a 'line of businesses (such as, Platinum Consumer Credit to World Consumer Credit, Professional Small Business to World Small Business).

#### Following are the execution steps: {#following-are-the-execution-steps}

1. The customer provides PAN with the product to upgrade or downgrade a product for a PAN in Account Catalog Services through the API.
2. The Account Level Management (ALM) validates the PAN and the product, then graduates the PAN in the system and register.
3. The API response is provided to customers with a registered account category code, accept codes or reject codes as applicable.
4. If the customer has opted for a detailed response, Mastercard sends the detailed response to the customer on its configured API URL.
